Life in Auroville

Someone from Auroville wrote to me that he thought he had come

here to obey no one but himself (or words to that effect), but he

noticed there are rules and laws. And he said, "I am not going to

do any of this; I am a free man and refuse to do this." This was

reported to me, naturally, so I wrote to him (I don't remember):

"One is free only when one is conscious of the Divine and

conscious that it is the Divine who makes decisions in everyone,

otherwise one is the slave of one's desires, one's habits, of all

conventions ..." I sent him that, and he kept quiet.

Auroville:A dream down to earth'' And yes, the ''Mother'' let this dream come true.
Auroville was founded in 1968 by Mirra Alfassa, known as the''Mother'
In the middle of the town is the Matrimandir, it is a golden sphere.
The purpose of Auroville is to realize human unity; it is meant to be an universal town,
where men and women of all countries are able to live in peace and harmony.
Very vividly is shown in the video, what all this center does.
A place of unending education from technology to art to medicine and a precaution for the environment, which is a great example to the world. If money is an obstacle to learn there, the community helps .Each one gives, what is possible.
Auroville : City of Dawn- has its origins in the French language: aurore meaning dawn and ville city.It is named after SRI AUROBINDO -1872-195o
